Running For: Secretary

Campaign Statement

I am honored to be nominated for CUAA Secretary.  My brother (ChE ‘13) and I both benefitted from Cooper Union’s free tuition and I am dedicated to ensuring that future generations of Cooper students have the same opportunity.  To this end in 2019, I spearheaded the creation of the Alumni in Law affinity group to engage alumni, provide networking opportunities, and encourage fundraising.

I am running for CUAA Secretary to increase my contribution to the Cooper community.  As a litigation attorney, I am well aware of the importance of timely and clear communication, thoughtful decision-making, and have extensive experience with conflict avoidance and resolution.  I plan to apply my skills to the CUAA to ensure smooth internal communications and organization, as well as to advance engagement with the alumni community and outside of Cooper Union.

I will work towards keeping alumni informed and interested in Cooper Union because engaged alumni are critical to increased participation in fundraising and events.  It will be an honor to serve as CUAA Secretary and work with the Officers and Council members to support and improve Cooper Union.
