Running for: Treasurer and Council

Campaign Statement

I am dedicated to seeing The Cooper Union Return to Free.  I will support Cooper anyway I can to achieve this goal, whether it be on the Council or as Treasurer.  I would be honored to serve Cooper Union in either position.

Biography

I am currently the CUAA Communications Committee Chairperson and am finishing my first term on the Council.  I have been a patent lawyer with McDermott Will & Emery for the past 21 years.  I have authored numerous articles on patent law, and have been an author of the annually published Patent Applications Handbook for the last 10 years.  I have also been a Primary Examiner at the USPTO, and worked as a chemical engineer for a couple battery manufacturers after graduating Cooper.  While attending Cooper Union, I was the Student Banker, where I was in charge of disbursing funds for student activities and keeping and balancing the books for the student activities bank accounts.  When my children were younger, I coached several sports teams (soccer, baseball, roller hockey), and was a Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, and Venture Crew Leader.
