Running For: Alumni Trustee

Campaign Statement

I believe that in the 21st century, due to the ever-expanding internet and greater availability of other resources, education largely can be“as free as air and water.” Perhaps even more so, granted clean air and fresh water are now by no means guaranteed. In the 21st century, a tuition free educational institution, is rare. I believe that a tuition free educational institution implicitly addresses both autonomy and the commonweal, and can generate an ethos of contribution. I believe this ethos was fundamental to the Cooper Union I and others experienced as students. I am dedicated to seeing a tuition free Cooper Union again, and it would be an honor to serve as a Cooper Union Alumni Trustee to work towards this and other objectives.
