Philip Auerbach graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School, The Cooper Union Engineering School in 1951, and the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. Prior to retirement, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Sperry Corporation’s Tactical Systems Division and was the founder and first President of Paramax Systems, a Canadian subsidiary of Sperry. He was an active alumnus of Cooper Union. Philip served on The Cooper Union Board of Trustees, as an Alumni Trustee and as a regular Trustee.

Awards:

He was awarded Cooper’s President’s Citation in 1981 and the CUAA Gano Dunn Award for achievement in science and engineering in 1987. He was inducted into The Cooper Union Hall of Fame in 2009. He passed away in 2011.
