Deadline Extended for Call for Nominations The deadline for nominations to the Alumni Council, CUAA Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, and Alumni Trustee positions has been extended two weeks to Friday, December 15.
The Cooper Union Alumni Association (CUAA) needs your help in identifying committed and determined alumni from any era to assist and direct the Association in its mission to support Cooper Union’s diverse and talented alumni through engagement, advocacy, and communications.
In particular, we are seeking nominations for candidates in the following areas:
CUAA Executive Committee Positions. The CUAA is seeking energetic and committed alumni to lead our 13,000-member organization. The executive-level positions of Vice President – Faculty-Student Liaison, Vice President – Alumni Activities, Secretary, and Treasurer are open for terms beginning in July 2024. CUAA Council Members and Nominating Committee Positions. The CUAA is also seeking nominees for Alumni Council Members. If you or someone you know is passionate about Cooper Union and wants to play an active role in supporting the school and the alumni, we welcome your/their nomination.
Alumni Trustee on the Cooper Union Board of Trustees. The CUAA is also seeking nominees for Alumni Trustees to serve a four-year term. There are a number of varied areas of expertise that the Board is looking for including non-profit governance, fundraising development, management, and cyber security. Nominees must also agree to requirements set by the Board for fundraising and for committee participation. Candidate qualifications will be screened by both the CUAA Nominating Committee and the Cooper Union Board of Trustees. The CUAA works closely with the administration to support Cooper Union’s goal of higher education excellence and returning our school to tuition-free status. We also offer programs that link students and alumni, fostering strong relationships for the future.
