Spring 2024 Council Election – February Update
The Election Committee is pleased to announce that Meet the Candidates Night will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, beginning at 6:30 pm. For all candidates, council members, other alumni and Cooper Union seniors that can attend in person, this event will be held live at The Cooper Union Rose Auditorium. Light refreshments will be served.
This event will also be conducted over Zoom for council members and candidates that cannot attend in person.
The 2024 Council election will begin on March 12, 2024, at 10 pm, shortly after the conclusion of Meet the Candidates Night. The election will close on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at midnight.
The election will be conducted over the electronic voting platform Election Buddy An email containing a link to a secure ballot will be emailed to you when the election begins, with reminder emails sent out periodically. If you did not receive a ballot after the election has begun, please register to vote on the alumni website and email the Election Committee at cuaaelections@cooperalumni.org.
Once you cast your ballot, you cannot spoil it and re-vote. All votes are final upon their submission. So please carefully check your ballot before submitting it – you will be given the opportunity to do so.
Among the many candidates running in this year’s election, we are pleased to have three excellent candidates running for two open Alumni Trustee positions. A list of all candidates, their campaign statements, biographies, and photos will soon be made available online. That information will also be on the ballot, so you can refer to it while voting.
