Matthew Becker, Electrical Engineering 1921, was a professional engineer and manufacturer committed to industrial education. He was President of the Standard Switchboard Corporation. In 1956, Matthew was recognized as one of 25 Cooper Union alumni who had attained a high level of professional success, during a 3 day alumni session held in 1956, where Buckminster Fuller was the key speaker. Matthew Becker received the The Cooper Union President’s Citation in 1956 and was inducted into The Cooper Union Hall of Fame in 2009.
