Louis E. Brooks was one of the founders of Air Techniques a company located in Melville NY that produces equipment used in the dental industry. One of the inventions developed by Louis and his partners was the Airstar oil-free Compresso-Dri, air-compressor for use with dental tools that was patented in 1971. Louis has other patents assigned to him. In 1978, he received a patent for Dental Film Clips that hold small pieces of dental film as they are dipped in the film developer and rinse solutions.
Louis Brooks received a Cooper Union Presidential Citation in 2002.
