Dear Alumni and Friends,
I am Ron Vogel, the new President of the Cooper Union Alumni Association (CUAA). I look forward to serving the CUAA, continuing important initiatives started by our previous president and forging ahead with new endeavors to strengthen our vibrant community.
I draw your attention to two nomination opportunities that will be arriving in your inbox over the next couple of weeks. The first is an opportunity to recognize outstanding Cooper Union alumni by nominating them for CUAA Awards celebrating excellence in Art, Architecture, Engineering, and Public Service. Our awards ceremony is the CUAA’s flagship event. I encourage you to reflect upon the exceptional alumni within your network and submit a nomination. The second nomination opportunity will be a call for alumni who are interested in taking an active role in shaping the future of the CUAA as part of the Council or Executive Committee, or as an Alumni Trustee. Our association thrives because of dedicated volunteers, and I invite you to consider nominating either yourself or fellow alumni to run for these positions. The CUAA’s success and its ability to support the Cooper Union’s return to free tuition largely depends on the engagement of our alumni community. Your willingness to contribute time, financial support, and innovative ideas is invaluable. The CUAA continually seeks volunteers to collaborate on various projects such as our Thanksgiving pie deliveries to students, curating the CUAA newsletter, enhancing our website, organizing events such as the CUAA Awards Ceremony, and assisting the school with fundraising initiatives. Please do not hesitate to reach out. You can contact me regarding these endeavors, or anything else, at CUAAPresident@cooperalumni.org. Thank you all. I look forward to my term as CUAA President.
Best regards,
Ron Vogel
