Maroon and Gold Labs is a non-profit corporation established to incubate and support the entrepreneurial ideas created by Cooper Union students, staff, faculty, and alumni! We are hosting an info session for any interested alumni to learn about alumni mentor experiences with Maroon and Gold student teams and explore other ways that we can support student teams and grow the Cooper startup community.
On 9/14/23, we hosted a “Rocket Pitch” event to give students the opportunity to pitch their startup ideas to the broader Cooper community including students, alumni and members of the administration. We had five student teams pitching:
- Saint Lev – Akil Foster and Gautaman (Gaudi) Asirwatham (both ME ’25)
- PreFent – Nicole Shamayev (CE ’24).
- Team Nexus – KangHyuk (Chris) Lee (ME ‘24) and Lei (Raymond) Chi – (ME ‘25)
- Cooper Satellite Launch Initiative – Hyeonseo Daniel Kim (ME ‘25)
- Global Key Solutions – George Kwiecinski (BSE ‘25)
We had over 30 attendees at the event including 3 alums who were remote.
