Visiting Peter Cooper’s Gravesite is an annual tradition.
Location for Meetup: Peter Cooper’s Gravesite which is close to the Prospect Park Gate (Gate location is at Prospect Park Place and 20th Street)
Person to look for: Barry Drogin EE’83
If arriving by foot, use the Prospect Park Place and 20th Street Entrance to Green-Wood. From there, it is a one-minute walk to the grave site, located on a circle shaped family plot where Grove Avenue and Central Avenue intersect. The F and G trains go to the nearby 15 St-Prospect Park subway stop, which is an 8-minute walk away; depending on the train, some F trains express the stop, so you might need to switch to a G or a different F. Admittance is free and you can obtain a map at the entrance. Meet at the Gate at 1pm or wait at the Gravesite for those on foot to arrive.
If arriving by car, use the intersection of Grove Avenue and Central Avenue (not Streets!) as coordinates. The CUAA event is not the 1pm Cemetery tour. Park at the Gravesite, not in the Cemetery parking lot at the Main Entrance.
After the ceremony:
Alumni and their guests may tour the cemetery together on foot or walk to the Double Windsor at 16th Street and Prospect Park West for a drink and/or meal.
