Professional Qualifications:

Created two successful companies that provide consulting and project management services for private entities and non-profit institutions, including economic development, business planning, finance, capital projects and real estate. Professional background includes experience as a Mortgage Officer for the NYC Community Preservation Corporation, and as a developer and general partner of multifamily market-rate and affordable housing projects. In the public sector I was Director of the Zoning Study Group at the New York City Department of City Planning and held senior staff positions in the Mayor’s Office of Development. I served as a Commissioner of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, and a member of the New York State Council on the Arts Capital Review Panel. I received a National Endowment for the Arts Grant for Architecture and a Progressive Architecture Award for Urban Design. I am a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.


Personal Statement:

Cooper Union provided me with the education and fundamental skills that have enabled me to develop a successful career. I believe my expertise and experience can be of constructive assistance to Cooper as it moves forward with the difficult tasks at hand.
