Please nominate CUAA alumni for the 2025 CUAA Election.
The CUAA is looking for nominations for all Officer positions, the Alumni Council, and Alumni Trustee. Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations are due by December 1, 2024.

Officers serve on the Executive Committee of the CUAA. The President serves a two-year term, from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. Other officers serve one-year terms from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
The President leads the CUAA Executive Committee and Council, and serves as a member of the Cooper Union Board of Trustees.
The Vice President of Alumni Activities oversees events created by and for alumni, and plans and aids in the formation of local and regional alumni groups.
The Vice President of Faculty Student Liaisons presides over the Faculty and Student Liaison Committee, maintains liaisons with the Deans of the College and works with alumni representatives on faculty and administrative committees, and maintains liaisons with student organizations and alumni/student committees.
The Treasurer directs the preparation of the annual budget, oversees approved spending and receipt of funds, and is responsible for compliance with financial reporting requirements.
The Secretary records the minutes for Executive Committee and Council meetings, and serves notices as required by the CUAA.
Council members serve a three-year term, from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028. The Alumni Council oversees the development and management of a broad range of programs, events and services that enable alumni to maintain strong relationships with their fellow alumni and with Cooper Union. They provide motivation and leadership to encourage strong financial support from alumni and recognize and promote the achievements of Cooper Union alumni who have excelled in their fields and in their commitment to the college. Council members serve on at least one CUAA Committee, and may serve as chair of CUAA Committees. A list of committees is provided here.
Alumni Trustees serve a four-year term as part of the Cooper Union Board of Trustees. They must meet requirements agreed to in a consent order that The Cooper Union made with the NYS District Attorney in 2015. They must also agree to requirements set by the Board for fundraising and for committee participation. Candidate qualifications will be screened by both the CUAA Nominating Committee and by the CU BOT. Alumni Trustees are also part of the Executive Committee and Council of the CUAA.
