
Shiori Sasaki received a Bachelor of Architecture from the Cooper Union in 2014. Shiori is a licensed architect and multidisciplinary infrastructure professional with over a decade of experience spanning planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance management. He focuses on leveraging technology and collaboration to deliver infrastructure that is more sustainable, resilient, and impactful.
As an Industry Consultant and Strategic Advisor at Esri, the global leader in GIS technology, Shiori helps AEC firms, local governments, and infrastructure owner/builders align geospatial solutions with business goals. From enabling Digital Twin initiatives to developing long-term spatially-enabled asset management strategies, he bridges technical expertise and strategic planning to ensure technology delivers measurable value.
Previously, Shiori worked as a staff architect at the MTA, supporting subway station improvement projects, and at the Port Authority of NY & NJ, leading initiatives in long-range infrastructure planning, process improvement, and GIS.
Shiori holds a Master of Science in Construction Management from New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering, and is an Envision Sustainability Professional, a LEED Accredited Professional, and an Associate Member of the Institute of Asset Management (IAM). He is passionate about using data, geography, and collaboration to inform better decisions and align infrastructure investments with organizational priorities, embodying The Cooper Union’s legacy of innovation and public service.
