Campaign Statement

I feel passionately about Cooper Union and its mission and I have always been an active and eager participant in School affairs.  I support the plan to return to full-tuition scholarships.  I have been a regular member of the CUAA Council since graduation and welcome the opportunity to continue to contribute and serve.

Biography

Scott is a lawyer and a Partner at the New York office of Jones Day, where his practice focuses on technology transactions, licensing and intellectual property law. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Tulane Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Environmental Law Journal, and subsequently served as law clerk to the Honorable Mariana R. Pfaelzer, United States District Court, Central District of California. Before earning his law degree, he was an environmental engineer at Banner Pharmacaps (now Banner Life Sciences), a specialty pharmaceutical company. He has previously served on the Alumni Council (most recently from 2017-20) and the Nominating Committee (2019-21) and is also a former Chair of the Gano Dunn Award Committee (2010 – 2015).
