Personal Statement and Biography

I am dedicated to seeing The Cooper Union Return to Free. I would be honored to serve Cooper Union on Council.

I am currently the CUAA Treasurer. I also serve on the CUAA Council, the CUAA Communications Committee, the Nominating Committee, and served on the Gano Dunn Award Committee in. I have been a patent lawyer with McDermott Will & Emery for the past 23 years. I have authored numerous articles on patent law, and was an author of the annually published Patent Applications Handbook for 10 years.

I have also been a Patent Examiner at the USPTO, and worked as a chemical engineer for a couple battery manufacturers after graduating Cooper. While attending Cooper Union, I was the Student Banker, where I was in charge of disbursing funds for student activities and keeping and balancing the books for the student activities bank

accounts. When my children were younger, I coached several sports teams (soccer, baseball, roller hockey), and was a Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, and Venture Crew Leader.
