Running for: Alumni Council

Gabriella Orsi AR’21

Personal Statement

The Cooper Union is a special place. I have made lifelong friendships, professional connections, and am grateful for every opportunity that the Cooper Union has made possible for me. I want to pay it forward by serving on the alumni council. If elected, I would fully support the school’s goal to return to free and am focused on keeping the community connected through outreach.

I’ve had a mug on my office desk for four years with the words: ‘Science and Art, Education and Service’ inscribed around an image of the Foundation Building. These words not only guide my day-to-day architectural work; but as I run for a seat on the alumni council, I will live by them to carry on the vision for the school, as Peter Cooper intended.
